this is my airplane!! assembled it in 1hr the only problem is i dont have a 18" servo extension

Any of you guys think the wings are too deep? oh and 1 more problem, can i get this thing to take off and land without a controller because I had a $200 budget and i spent $196 on the plane and servos and the receiver alone was $100 so if anyone has advice for me let me know
well the reason you cant read the type is because someone messed with my computers' camera and changed it from normal to mirror anyway the brand is "tango" good luck to all of you!
oh one more thing im looking for the cable to the camera
I've been eyeballing the tango for it's flight surface. I think the wings are a great size for a glide in if necessary, while retaining maneuverability.

If you are programming a launch and recover procedure, I would think with all of the variables (ground type, length of field, wind speed, and direction, as well as GPS home base locking, and that's just for takeoff!) it might not be the easiest thing to do.
Check out rcgroups uav forum. I though I read about someone who had done their own launching and recovering technique, but I dunno if it's open sourced. If it is, you can pull lines form that code, and structure it for yours.

The first thing I picked up for my project was a radio and receiver.

Could you do me a favor, and get a shot with a ruler or yardsitck up agains the bird? I'd like to visually see the measurements.

Thanks!
well 2 things affect me doing that, 1 im still looking for the cable to my camera, and 2 im out of town without my airplane so it will be a while, i guess i can use my camera inside my laptop anyway im ditching the landing idea because of risk of loosing hundreds of dollars i could in future designes inculde a sonic sensor SONAR to the front to help with landings i will try to get a picture a.s.a.p. (;

the quality is not good due to compression if you want a full image ask for my email.
Sorry, by bird, I meant the tango. I'm curious as to the dimensions.
i know i posted this pictue for chris anderson um as soon as i find the cable to the camera i will post the plane picture and the wingspan is about 4 feet long. just to keep you thinking
Ah, roger that. Okay thanks! 0]
well here is more progress and problah here is your photo it doesnt have a yard stick but my height is 5'9" for a comparison anyway does the engine mount look too bad because i kind of hastily put it together well here they are!

this looks a little bad but i gorilla glued it in case it came out and gorilla glued all of the rest of the scews
Did you intentionally drill those holes angled like that?
I can see you are worried about that third bolt.

That seems a bit extreme to me.

"Gorilla Glue"?
Those nuts are fibre lock-nuts but you could add some LockTite if you are worried, but I don't think Gorrilla glue is recommended.

As I commented to a diff post of yours, engine offset is VERY important and should not be happhazardly dome.

Best to buy a new mount and start over.

If this was an attempt at building in the recommended thrust offset, best to add washers against the firewall in this situation.
or should i sell this on ebay and go with electric? But my mom (don't call me a looser because i live with my mom, im only 14) will be going to a nearby city with a hobby shop, ill write her a list thanks for the advice and the reason your comment didn't go on the video is because i accidentally deleted it and had to re-post it.
