APM 2.5 won't arm via radio on 3.1.2 but will via Misson Planner

I recent upgrade my 3DR Quad to 3.1.2. 

Now I find that I can't arm via my Spektrum Dx8 using the standard down and to the right on the throttle in stabilize mode.  I can arm via Misson Planner either thru the telemetry link or when plugged in via USB. I can then disarm via my Spektrum.  

I've tried reverting back to 3.0.1 with the same results. Not arming via radio, but will via Misson Planner. 

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem, fixed. Had to re-calibrate my radio after the firmware upgrade.  Thanks all.

    Is the yaw channel reversed, i.e. does it arm if you put the stick down and left? Also are there pre arming checks set?

    We have experienced the apm not arming until it gets a very good gps fix, although it says it has a 3d fix, it can still take a while before it will arm.
