While I was setting up my first wiring on an ArduPilot last night, I noticed the manual shows Input 1,2, and 3.  The board itseld though, is clearly marked 1,2,3, and 4.  This made me wonder a few things...

1- I assume the newer board can use ailerons and rudders independantly?
2- Are there other changes that aren't in the manual yet?
3- When will the manual be updated again?

Thanks,
Tim

What manual are you looking at? We switched to the wiki a couple weeks ago. There shouldn't be any links still to the old manual.
Woah. I go to the main page, click on "Ardupilot" to the left of the FunJet. Then at that Ardupilot page, scroll down a bit and hit "complete manual" just below "What you need to make a navigation-only autopilot" .
Ah. Missed that link. I'll fix.
Actually the link was fine. I think maybe you were remembering a previous link? (I think I changed it over the weekend)
That could be. I had printed it out about a week ago, and was going off of that.
That fix was fast! Thanks! The wiki is WAY better. Though maybe harder to print.

Tim, to answer your question #1 - the ArduPilot (not Mega) has 4 inputs and outputs, but to use 3+ you must solder a few extra wires on the back, and the code only uses 3. There is no support for independant ailerons and rudder.
Thanks Doug.
