I've decided I've messed about with the electronics enough for now and it's time for me to get an airframe and get airborne. The Skywalker seems to be the one that best meets my requirements - not too large, but with decent payload capacity (both weight and volume), and fairly stable flight characteristics suitable for a moderately inexperienced pilot. Before I spend my money, though, I just wanted to check something. I really don't have any way of storing or transporting a fully-assembled UAV right now without risking breaking a wing or something, and I've seen photos of the Skywalker with the wing sitting next to it. Are these all mid-construction photos, or is the wing removable? If not, could the wing be made removable without too much work?

Any comments on the aircraft's behaviour or suitability would also be welcomed.

It is designed as re-moveable single 1.8 m wing but, some have made it 2 piece with a joiner rod, It adds a little weight. check RCGroups for various SkyWalker builds
Yes, the wing is removable and separates into two halves. Very easy to transport in a regular car.
Mark, mine came with two carbon fiber joiner rods and was designed to be split.
i have an early EPO version without joiner tubes, I have heavily modified mine to carry a 2.6 m wing and extended the tail boom 75mm and increased rudder/elevator control surfaces.
