Does any one know where to get one. I used to use a website to do it and the download my file. I have "KML generator v 2.05" and it doesn't work on win 7. I have a thing called Quo v2. Its buggy and doesn't work sometimes and puts flags and lat/lon data on the map and I can't turn it off. Somone must know of a good one that takes csv and lets you select the columns when you import. If any one knows please post a link. And many thanks to you if you do :)
Update: I found the site that I used before to generate a KML, link here. Now it doesn't give you the option to download your file. I know I did it before, because I have the file. It can only be opened in GE and I can't seem to get at the actual file. GE just saves the link. GIMMY BACK MY FILE. Sorry, but it's my data and now who knows who else has it. Not me!!!!
I am back to were I started from. :(

Permalink Reply by Greg Fletcher on December 28, 2010 at 3:35pm Please some one must know of one. A web site or a freeware program. I have good data from a flight tody and can't get a good file for Google Maps. KML generator 2.05 does't work on Win 7 and this Quo 2 program totaly sucks. Als I see is a bunch of flags and coord. data jumbled up on the screen. Again thanks for your help.
Permalink Reply by Greg Fletcher on December 28, 2010 at 6:10pm I am recording a csv file. First I record the time and date from the GPS, then a serial #, milliseconds from last record +-, lon, lat, alt, roll, pitch, airspeed, battery voltage, & control mode #. This can be easily changed to what ever I wan't.
If the GCS has it I just record it using an Openlog from Sparkfun. I found the website that worked before here.
I would rather create my own KML's rather then have the "cloud" do it for me. You aren't always connected, at least me anyway. First time I actually flew the thing today. Got good data. Edit out the glitches when 0,0 is recorded. I hate when Google Earth zooms in on the mid Atlantic Ocean :)
Permalink Reply by Greg Fletcher on December 28, 2010 at 7:58pm I am i a dumb a^# or what. I just found a bunch of KML files in my "downloads folder". We used to call them directories back when we had DOS. AND we liked it dag':nab't$s.
Hope you all have a prosperous new year.
