So in my mission to build a drone I got a few of the needed items and trying to get things hooked up and such but I have a few questions. First here is the hardware I got for now...

Multiplex Easystar
Turnigy 2200 inrunner
Rhino 2350 Lipo
HobbyKing 25-30A ESC
Prop

Q1. I see that people have to metal pieces that they use to sandwich the prop in the middle of and mount onto the motor. Where do I get those parts and what one would I need to get? My prop is a 6x4E I believe its called.

Q2.The motor has those male plugs already attached to the ends of the wires. The female connectors came with my ESC but these things are pretty heavy duty and aren't some kind of cheap crimp on. I see how they attach to the male counterpart but I don't know how to fix the ESC wires to them. Are they supposed to be soldered in?

Q3.Im thinking it would be best if I used Deans plugs for the battery and for the ESC (+ -) wires that goto the battery. On the battery it has some pretty thick cables what type/size Deans plug should I use?

Q4. What is the best way to mount an inrunner if I don't want to glue the motor itself to the foam but have it still be stable?

Thank you all for any help you could lend. If any of you are aware of any install guides or anything that would answer these questions that would also be great. Thanks again

I too glued my motor in after wrapping it in tape.

I know that the only time I will want to remove it and reuse the motor (and R/X) is after a major crash.

(I have LOTS of experience with those! Ha, Ha)
I have a few things I still need to get together and of course its just the little stuff that I overlooked. Anyway one of the items I need is a shaft adapter for my brushless inrunner. I have this motor...

And I am wondering if this is what I need to attach my e-prop to the motor and if this is the right size. The motor says it has a 3.2mm shaft but I can only find adapters for 3.0mm and 3.175.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Wayne,

The 3.175mm prop adapter is close enough to work with the 3.2mm motor shaft. Though I prefer the collet type adapters as you get even pressure around the motor shaft instead of a just a single point set screw.

I have used this Great Planes prop adapter on my Hacker 20-22L 3.175mm motor shafts: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=GPMQ4990&...

Also, if you are using APC propellers, I would recommend that you get their 5mm metric center adapter as it makes it painless to mount the propeller on the 5mm prop shaft of the adapter.

Yes I am using APC 6X4E props. So what does one of those center adapters look like? Could you provide a link? Thanks much again.
Wayne,

You can buy the APC adapters here: http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=50730&cat=436

Horizon Hobby also sells the same APC adapters: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=APCMPA1

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah There are two of them that came with my props i ordered and I used my digital caliper to measure the ID of both and one is about 5.9mm and the other at about 4.75mm. But if neither of these work then I now know what I am looking for. Thank you for all the help.
Wayne,

The adapters that come with the APC props are in decimal sizes which, as you found are close, but really not useable on metric size shafts without being enlarged which can be tricky.

How about ordering plane it self? towerhobbies and hobby-lobby has been out of stock for 2 months now. Any other good sources? I'm especially interested a shop that is in Asia area.. If not any, what ever location will do.

Oh yeah I had huge issues finding the plane. I got it from newcreations-rc.com The guy I talked to and dealt with is the owner. His name is Kirk and hes an awesome guy. Hes located in Texas, assuming your in the US. He also does a great rudder mod to the tail. He was the only one I could find that had it in stock and it took me DAYS before I found him. He sounded surprised to know he was the only one I could find. Go to the site and see if you can get hooked up. :) good luck.
Thanks Wayne but... EasyStar ARF Out of Stock :)

Looks like whole world is out of stock. I did order alternative plane till I can find EasyStar now waiting AXN floater-jet from hobbycity. I was waiting even those about 2.5 weeks and they received 100 units last week tuesday till thu evening they sold them all out.. Well hunt continues.
