I am building a Quadcopter and the person who ordered the parts has since left and I am trying to figure out how to assemble everything electronically. What I have is:
Arducopter
LI-VM34LP Camera
Arduino Pro Mini - to process image data from the camera
XBee 1mW Wire Antenna x2
XBee Explorer
XBee Shield
Digital Reciever
Remzibi OSD
Flightmax 2200mAh battery
I would like to set this up so that I can transmit video data over the XBee as well as the flight controls but I am having trouble finding documentation on connecting the hardware together. I have the frame of the quadcopter assembled and everything on the PDB has been soldered as well as the Arduino Mega 2560 and the Sensor Board.
My main concern right now is connecting everything electronically. I have searched and some things like the camera are entirely lacking documentation and I could not find anything about it. I also have no experience with doing this.

Did you follow instructions found here? http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/ArduCopter2
If I remember correctly, I've read somewhere that transmitting video over XBee won't work (lack of speed). You could use the forum search too.

Ruwan.
Permalink Reply by Nick Rosetti on February 3, 2012 at 1:49pm I have already looked through the manuals and guides. I am fine with assembling the stock quadcopter but where I am having trouble is the rest of the parts that were ordered. I know nothing about the camera and I can't really find anything. Like I said someone else ordered these parts and I have no details about them. Looks like you are definitely right about the XBee not being able to transmit video data. I just contacted the camera people, Leopard Imaging, and it seems like I need another board to process the data. Could I use the Mega 2560 to process the data or even the Arduino Pro Mini?
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The third round was a reliablilty/aerial photography round for both planes and copters, which is now closed. Stay tuned for the next round, beginning soon.58 members
