I have this current sensor for my OSD but would like to transfer it to APM1 on a quad.
It's not complicated - Sensor Gain: 100 (1 volt output equals 10 Ampere current).
Tried connecting it to APM following the wiki instructions, but it would only show the voltage of 3.7V and no current.
I know APM only supposedly supports the Atto sensors but surely they work similarly. Is there something I'm missing? Connections wrong?

Hi Marc
Is yours working correctly/ what are your settings and wiring connections? On the mission planner mine does not show the correct voltage and the current reads 0 with the motors running.
Permalink Reply by Marc Puig Pasarrius on January 27, 2012 at 1:17pm Yes mine is working correctly, I had to add this:
#define CURR_AMP_PER_VOLT 20.60
to APM_Config.h (you'll need around 10). You have to connect the sensor signal to AN1, don't forget to connect the ground. Finally you need to select the monitor mode in the Planner: "4: Volts & Current" (setup->battery tab).
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The third round was a reliablilty/aerial photography round for both planes and copters, which is now closed. Stay tuned for the next round, beginning soon.58 members
