Hitec 2.4 equipment

I am getting my Arducopter and want to use my Royal EVO 12 that has a Hitec 2.4 Module. Has anyone used any Hitec equipment or even a Royal EVO radio with a Quad.

My radio also can use a Spektrum module so i have some flexability as to receivers and the radio is very programable as to switch assigments.

Any help would be appreciated...
