I would imagine they would have to post a working system that could run a out of the box power kite and any modification from what can be gotten by the part numbers from catalogs.

Well I ment if I offered prizes there were competitions on here and instructables right?

You've already started an event by saying this but there are problems too.
No rules, no specifications and no example of effort. Given you added a thread about getting help to do this it reads like you just want someone to do your homework also which won't help your cause.
I'd recommend setting a clear goal with clear limitations and offering maybe a voucher for DIYDrones or Sparkfun (if you could arrange that).

There are powered kite examples in peer reviwed science journal articles that can be found in google scholar as pdf documents. KiteGen , pump kite, kite wind power are some keywords.

Rules the design must have part order numbers and instructions so it would be who can make documentation and show a video of it working. On this forum.

Specifications well arduino pilot code if it is needed to be modified how it was modified or the difference files would be important.

Examples are kite gen and other articles of systems like this done in college reserch papers.

Yea I would like to setup a diy drones voucher for sparkfun because if someone already got this working would they want another diy drones system? A quad copter could be a nice prize but a sparkfun cupon for X$ could work and work for more people. How to work that into this forum. It would be something the page designer would have to add. I know drupal cms has modules for contests. I know instructables has contests.

The kite flys in a figure 8 using cross wind power also and the asent and decent cause power acent pulls the cord on a generator and the decent the cord is coiled.
