MediaTek GPS and AP Shield Versions
Hi all,
I have been playing around with the MediaTek GPS module/interface board and several of my Ardupilot board equipped with both versions of the Ardupilot Shield.
I have found that the Ardupilots equipped with the V2 Shield will consistently get a lock when used with the MediaTek GPS modules. However the Ardupilots equipped with the V1 Shields will not show a lock even when the MediaTek GPS module is showing a lock!
I have had the Ardupilots equipped with the V1 Shields get a lock when used with the EM406 GPS.
Has any other member experienced this phenomenon?

The V1 shield was retired long ago and is no longer supported. I don't even have one to test anymore :-(

Thanks for the response. No problem Chris! I have decided to retire my V1 Shields where they are being used with the MediaTek GPS module. However, I still have a few EM406s that will work with the V1s.
