My problem is thus.. Using Megaplanner 1.0.49 and on the serial port to program the APM all works fine. Loads the hex file and verifies ok. I run flight data and all is well. 7 sats GPS ok google map ok !! works GREAT.. However...

I have a pair of xbee's. They are programmed for 38Kbaud. The hex file that automatacally loads I think the serial3 is set for 57kb.

Without ME having to recompile the APM firmware, how do I get the hex file or is there a setting for serial3 I can change on the fly from the APM planner ? Can I get a 38kb serial 3 hex file somewhere?

Thanks...Earl

I already answered you over in the manual comments, but to repeat:

I'm afraid not. I suggest you reprogram your Xbees for 57k. It's easy--just check out the telemetry section of the manual:

(Also, you've posted this with the wrong discussion forum tag: this regards APM, not the original ArduPilot)

Given a little nudge towards a better part of the forum :)

Martin.

Sorry...The bottom line is I got the latest firmware to compile for 1280 without out of memor by disabling the log feature. It is 117k or so and not 128+k with logging enabled.

38kb works fine now with xbee's.

Guess I need a new mega board. 2500 series.

thanks, Earl
