New 25A Current Sensor from Allegro

This is a new device from Allegro. It's about $2.5 and would provide Power logging in a low profile.

Sweet! But how would you connect it? You'd have to somehow put the IMU board between the ESC and the battery? (if so, you'd need a very different connector and power handling design)

@Chris, one just adds 2 large solder pads, then cut one battery cable in half and connect both cut ends to the two pads. Current is measured in serial.
The current trace is fully isolated - so one doesn't worry much about how it relates to the rest of the power handling.
btw, if one calibrates current to frequency, one should be able to estimate airspeed - without an Airspeed sensor - or as a backup to same (the number of commercial accidents involving failed airspeed is remarkable)
