Hi,

I'm playing around in on the paparazzi center and the GCS and trying to get to know how everything works. I put in my decimal lat and long coordinates and ran a simulation. When i want to fill the screen with google map tiles i get the following msg in the paparazzi center:

Connecting to khm.google.com|64.233.179.136|:80... failed: Connection refused.

Can anyone please help with how i can get the paparazzi center to load the map tiles?

Thank you

Hi Jano,

I had the same problem. After a few days it worked again. I heard sometime's google blocks some ip adresses.
Do you have a laptop can you make a internet connection from somewhere but your home. And test if you can get the data then.

Most likely you are "banned" from google. This happened to me and is a known issue. If you go into GCS and grab too many maps...google will detect this and block your IP for 24hrs or something like that. You have to zoom in and only grab a few tiles at a time. I don't know the exact number before you get banned but I have downloaded around 20 or so without being banned before. I'm super careful now.
Thank you Jonas, I'll try this and see what happens.

Kind Regards,
Jano
I zoomed in and tried loading the tiles again but is still doesn't work. I'm not able to connect from another place right now but i'll try that to. Do you know if it possible to load the map tiles on google earth, save them somewhere and open them in GCS?

Thank you

Jano
