Just curious if anyone else sees this and if there is any kind of fix.  Maybe about a month ago, the images in blog posts on the main page of DIY Drones come up distorted.  They being elongated from top to bottom.  They are not distorted when I go into the post itself.  This only occurs on one machine I use, not the other.  I have tried expanding the browser window to full screen, but these images are still distorted.  However, videos are not distorted.

A minor annoyance.  Not a big deal.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

It could be that the images posted are to wide, the moderator team will adjust the width to the max size of 500 pixels wide, this will make them look a little odd. So I guess the question I should ask, is how wide were the images you posted?

Regards

Martin.

Hi Martin,

The problem isn't with images I have posted, but rather all blog images that appear on the main page.  I'll try to post a screen shot to show what I'm getting (resized to 500 pix wide).

Thanks,

Paul

Thats an odd effect Paul, are you only getting these odd images on DIYD?

Yes, and only on one of the two PCs I use. It is indeed odd, but consistent.  It started when this PC was on Windows XP and continued after it was upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010, although Internet Explorer might not have changed with the upgrade.  In any case, this effect was before and after.
In that case Paul I would check your computers screen resolution looks like it may set wrong in that pc' setting. I would start by setting the screen to it's native setting and check again.

Thanks again, Martin.  Our recent posts hit at the same time, so I want to be sure you see my last note where I found the issue.

Paul

I found the issue.  I guess I should have done more digging before posting, but maybe this will help someone else.  I had to select to show all web sites in "Compatibility View" to fix it.  That's under "Tools" then "Compatibility View Settings."

Thanks for taking time to respond to this, Martin.

Paul

Your welcome, good to see it's fixed

Martin
