I am just getting set up and ran into a minor roadblock in terms of which motors should be spinning. Here is a picture of how my quad is set up. X configuration:

So, I should expect that when I push the pitch stick forward, the rear motors 2 and 4 should spin up. But the opposite happens - 1 and 3 spins up.

The roll direction is also reversed - push the stick right, 1 and 4 spin up.

How should I fix this problem? I know I can fix it by reversing the channels on the transmitter or just flying it "backwards" (180 degrees to what I intended it) but I'm worried the stabilization would correct in the wrong way.

Thanks!

Do not reverse your radio channels to fix issues. Your radio should output high PWM for roll right and pitch back. Check the roll right = about 4500 and pitch back = about 4500 in the CLI radio test.

If you see reversed control, check that you have the channels in the right order.

Thanks for the help! I re-did the first time setup and noticed roll right and pitch back was a lower number, instead of a higher number like you said. I clicked the "reverse" button on them but it didn't change the number.

I ended up reversing the channels.. and it worked!? It flies great now!

AHHHH i have the same setup.... im just having software issues... i cant get the rc to show up in the setup window... when i plug a lipo.. one motor stats spining without me having to arm the drone...

Check canel 8 that there is no output, I have this problem also and finde this in the README

ch8 = NOT used!!! - this is the hardware manual - it's dangerous to use for quads BEWARE!!!

If you have no ch8 connected it´s another problem.

nothing on channel 8... its free

other suggestions??

I just realized that this is how I have been flying my quad and y6 since i started. Pull back to go forward, push forward to go back, left to go left and right to go right...

What mission planner version do you have? I have with 1.92 also issues of sometimes not showing my rc input.

Hi... i have that latest version.

I shipped the the APM back to the store and they discovered that the board was bad so they send me a new one...

Since day one i had the suspicion that there was some hardware issue. i sodered everything right and never messed up by plugging the -+ wrong or a higher than 5v lipo.

Once I get the new stuff back im sure ill be flying!!!
