So I am using the red ardupilot board with the blue shield, and when I press upload in Arduino it just says  uploading to I/O board and never stops.... no error or anything but never finishes. I have tried unplugging the GPS and I did go to the device manager and checked off the set RTS on close. It also says Binary sketch size: 23776 bytes (of a 30720 byte maximum) under the uploading to I/O board but no errors or anything. I am using the FTDI from the ardupilot store too.

Thanks for the help

Go through all the debugging tips. If it still doesn't work, try another PC. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad FTDI.
