uBlox adapter battery

Sorry folks I posted this in the Blogs section earlier this morning by mistake. My bad.

I have a Newbie question about the uBlox adapter battery life span. 2 weeks + or - ?

Jordi, do we need to power the unit up to retain the pre-loaded program when we receive it from DIY? I will be traveling to the North Slope Alaska for about two weeks on work and will not have a chance to play with the units till I get back. Your work on this equipment awesome and inspiring to an old guy like myself.

The battery should last years. No need to power the unit on to preserve memory.

Sorry, I stand corrected. The battery (it's actually a supercap) is rechargeable. It will last years, but each charge only retains sat info for about ten days. Config info is retained in nonvolatile memory.
