Weird APM 2.5/ PDB problem

Sorry, I'm new here, please redirect me should there be a batter spot for this question.

My PDB (from DIYdrones store), when powered by my battery and disconnected from apm, displays 12v out on all 4 connections. Hear's the weird bit, all of my ESC's function perfectly on their own, yet will not even arm in motor 3 and 4 slots, even though they have, and I have confirmed this 5 times or more, 12 volts. They also don't display 5v out on the signal cables when connected to ports 3 and 4 while they will do so on 1 and 2 and when plugged into the radio and battery directly.

So, is my PDB borked? Am I missing something painfully obvious?

Also how do I wipe my firmware from APM 2.5 so as to re-install it?

  • Thanks for the response, oddly enough I had tried jumpering the wires as you suggested some time ago; however this yielded no results whatsoever. I am going to whip up a quick system tonight though; something fishy about that board and generally just overly quirky.
  • Sounds like a bad trace on the PDB or something. I don't use the 3DR board, but it is pretty easy to do your own board or just blow off a PBD completely. You could always just solder the connectors for the ESCs that aren't working to the same pads as the ones that are working. All a PBD does is connect everything together - plus is plus and minus is minus.
  • Nothing at all?

    Anyone?

I guess I just buy a new PDB then?

  • Bump?
