Axure commented on Chris Anderson's blog post "Drone Journalism Arrives"
"The U.S. definitely needs citizen- and journalist-controlled drones. Just look at how they treat protesters in recent days. Peaceful people are being beaten with batons, pepper-sprayed on campuses, thrown out under false security pretext from…"

Axure commented on Chris Anderson's blog post "Drone Journalism Arrives"
"Ellison Chan, please note a direct connection between the safety of a drone and of the people directly beneath it. This is why I mentioned it."

Axure commented on Chris Anderson's blog post "Drone Journalism Arrives"
"Two comments, to clarify a bit:
1) The drone used to make this video is a commercial device, professionally maintained and tested. The company operating it undoubtedly has relevant permissions from Polish authorities - at least for "normal" work…"

"I also don't own a TV and I was able to find these videos in many places on the web, but I was curious who actually paid for it."

"Robert, who did he sell it to?  Was it run in any mainstream media?"

Axure commented on Tim Nilson's blog post New Tricopter Delrin Kit available late August
"Very cool stuff.  Love the foldability.  But we want to see a flight video!

Also, performance questions immediately pop up to mind: What's the acceptable payload? (I can see on your website it can take a Go Pro.) What's the flight time? etc."

Axure commented on fibrewire's blog post Gyro-Stabilized PTZ Gimbal for UAVs
"Indeed, I'm not interested in building a bomb targeting device. I would be content if I had a drone with a laser rangefinder."

"As for lasers (I assume Robert White means a rangefinder?), wouldn't one of these cheap LIDAR solutions mentioned a few posts before do the job?

Axure commented on Rowland's blog post Data from Mini UAV

Axure commented on Roberto Navoni's blog post Hexafox32 with Auto Gimbal Stabilization and software Stabilization ,too
"The stabilization works indeed, but at the expense of image sharpness. Personally I prefer the non-stabilized, but sharper image on the left."

That video you posted is awesome! :)"

Axure commented on Roberto Navoni's blog post FoxTeam support and improve Professional Drone. VR Dragon Y6 is first platform.
"I assume this won't be cheap? It's funny how you can get an "amateur" quad for $1000, then people finetune the software, rebuild it on a nicer frame, call it a "pro" and charge $50,000. ;)
[yes, I can see yours is hexa, just a general statement]"

Axure commented on Berto's blog post Blimp Drone Project
"Would you consider selling kits with different sizes of the baloon itself (while using common controls) ?
This could be interesting for various usages - a small blimp for a kid, a bigger one (and tethered one, possibly) for mounting a camera. The…"
