About Me:

RF/GPS Engineer, I have been doing GPS since 1988.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

My interest is in navigation in general. In particular the use of various systems, gyos, accelerometers, e. compass, ect 6to compute or estimate position. The UAV runs into this problem all the time. I hope to contribute with what I know of this area, I have >20yrs experience with GPS and have a text in print about GPS receivers.

Dan Doberstein commented on Doug Weibel's blog post Proof of Concept test - Extremely accurate 3D velocity measurement with a ublox 6T module.
"from above , Dougs comment "- conceptually Doppler measurements and carrier phase change measurements are the same, but the way they are made in a gps receiver is very different." I am not an expert in the measurement of doppler in GPS receivers. I…"

"Hello all;   I have acces to a Javad Delta and a UBLOX6-T receiver. In addition I hav access to very expensive simulator. I setup a test profile of high G to see if I could break UBLOX6-t position solution. I setup the UBLOX using UCenter for max…"

"I should add that if a receiver is allowed to sit and average for a long while the position error ball shrinks as the noise tends to average out. But on short time scales you are up against the jitter limit in single code based measuremnts of around…"

"Oliver/Steve/Others;
   I am not that experienced with DGPS/RTK GPS app...what I do know is the "guts" of the measurement proceses in the receivers themseleves. Without diff solution a standalone L1 receiver cannot correct for iono/trop errs in…"

"Hello, knew here to your UG. I have a lot of experience with GPS recievers, I even wrote a text , see Fundamentals of GPS receivers, Dan Doberstein, Spinger Pub.
   I concur with above remarks about limits on dynamics. The commercial L1 receivers…"
