I am a MSc Mechanical Engineering student at the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.

I am working on a research project to automate a 550 sized RC helicopter with intentions of using it in urban search and rescue applications. I also intend to add features such as obstacle detection. The helicopter is also required to be able to switch between autonomous and semi-autonomous flight control.
