I purchased a DX8 that came with an AR8000 8-channel receiver. I'm trying to use it for an ArduCopter that was built by jdrones. The first AR8000 wouldn't power up even though it was receiving the correct current (4.95 volts) from the ArduCopter APM. So I went and purchased another one today and tried it out. It won't power up, either!Is this common with Spektrum? I have read a lot of negative reviews and forum posts about trouble powering up and binding. Is there something I'm doing wrong?See More

Am I connecting the wires correctly? And where do I connect the red and white power cable on the RX8000 receiver?I'm a total newb, by the way.
