"Not that far - we have working code but we need to update some authentication pieces. We are also working on an HTML5 version which should run in any smartphone with a webkit browser."

"If you already have GPS and a way to the net, our API is the way to go. The iPhone idea might be better targeted to the ARdrone types without GPS. We're taking with some of the ground station folks about integrations. Thanks for the feedback."

"We'd love to do something like that. We are releasing an API wich should make this possible but we aren't ready to release yet. If you are interested in working on this with us, I'd definitely be interested in talking."

DroneOS - Realtime UAV tracking via the web

We're a small startup working on a project for tracking and sharing the location of UAVs and drones in real time via the web. Flights are tracked by attaching a smartphone to a drone and distributing a URL which lets your friends follow your flights in realtime on a map in a web browser.

Contests

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The third round was a reliablilty/aerial photography round for both planes and copters, which is now closed. Stay tuned for the next round, beginning soon.
