Ok, I'm back and still looking to become a full time UAV pilot.So I am now a Comm Pilot with Instrument rating and over 325 hrs in single engine aircraft.Applied with NavMar, they are sending me out to Yuma for TigerShark evaluation in July.If accepted, i will join a 12 week training course, then deploy.TigerShark is controlled internal with R/C hand controller. I will continue my quest.
I do plan on attending the UAV Expo in Denver CO. in august for a few days, try to make contacts there.

Ryan replied to Brian Grant's discussion UAV Pilot"Interesting - it's pretty relax here in Oz too but you still need a UAV Operator Lic. if you want to go above 150kg which req. a PPL with at least IFR written exam and prior UAV exp. as well."

CPL/IFR is a must I would say for Tier III and even some Tier II class UAVs
