HI Sean, Chris is right, Ublox or similar helical antenna, must be vertical, or perpendicular to the sky, this is very important.   So you need to change that, even if the antenna exits the box through a hole(un obstructed view of the sky also…

Hi, this is not as easy as it sounds, but very doable.   I have developed the code to control Visca on all the FCB range of cams by reading the PWM outputs from an RX. You would need a Arduino mini 168 and better for this to…

Mike, you've crossposted, so I'll repeat my answer here: the ArduIMU Eagle files are available and licensed to allow free reuse, but the sensors are no longer manufactured.

I have mentioned this in another thread, but...   I have to agree, there still is huge possiblilty left in this little gem.   Not just as an AP addition, but we use it for many other applications, Cam stabalization, cam tracking,…

Thank you for that,   ok my next very noob question would be which enviroment was used to create it?   Visial C++, Dev c++?   This just makes it so much easier jump in at the same point as the developers.   Back to the IMU issue…

I have an APM 1280 but none of the rest of the setup. Guess I'll need to count my coin bucket and get that APM Full kit.

APM does SO much more. Datalogging, 2-way telemetry, pressure sensor for altitude, 8ch in/out, camera control, airspeed sensor, etc, etc.  The two products are night and day. You really should give APM a try--you'll be blown away by how…

Firstly I wish to convey my highest appreciation to all the developers and members of this community.

For those who do not know us, i wish to make a small explanation as why i am posting this.

Im my/our line of work, i/we have worked (and still do when required) on high end Mil spec UAV/UAS, and we wanted to do a mission not dissimilar, to what is required in real world situations.

Hi All,

Been hanging around here for quite a while now and gleaning as much information as i can, maybe its time to give something back.

One of the biggest problems we found was that when in the field, its hard to get all the information where you need it, re-sizing all the windows, if you touch the pad, you can lose the window you want, always the GS, hard to find the pointer to bring it back, when you have one eye on the… Continue

HI Earl,

Thanks, now having a read through, trying to compare the setups...

Interstingly, the divider is 100, code is similar, so how can APM be summet else? more importantly, where is the code dealt with in the first place, are we only dealing with the symptoms...not the cause....

Logic would dictate that as we are using the same code base, same GPS (so alt readings will be very similar, done the same way, one would think), that the output readings shoudl be the same...my problem is that since we moved busines, testing at weekends is harder, and constent distraction makes it very hard to digest the new code...

I guess that a test flight is required to get a base setting, see if what changes we have made, correlate to real reading or if its reading true and we will be flying at some daft alt..preferably not into the deck!

What are your thoughts?

Mike.

Doc,
I've been a lot less active since we last converged... My wife had to go an let all the stuff on her farm die... Seems that acute pancreatitius will cure a person of obsessive farmville disorder, but the effects are only temporary, and farmvilletitis will creep back into everyday activity...

I see the same old questions about setups so I still want to try to get something we can use as a resource for the DIYDrones community put together.
