Ardupilot Shield V2 schematics?

Is there any specific reason? The eagle files for the Ardupilot are posted, for which this is a shield board. Anywhoo, thanks for replying - I've been lazy, I'll just take out the half hour and make…

Ardupilot Shield V2 schematics?

Can I get the eagle files for this. I've asked a few times in a couple of different places ... Is there any issue in posting the eagle schematic and layout? How about the footprint for the pressure s…

This is super expensive on DigiKey ($85), but it is being sold on electronic goldmine for cheap! $8.95!!) http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/pro was thinking of using this for speed measurement in…

Eagle files for ArduPilot Shield

Are the eagle schematic and layout files available for the shield board? I wanted to get the footprint for the MPXV5004DP differential pressure sensor, amongst other things I would like to take a loo…

Bill, assuming with "hex" you meant hexadecimal value, what exactly confuses you ? How to send an hex value over serial ? How to convert an image to hex values and send it through serial ? Regards

How do you send it the hex packets via serial. I'm confused, and need to know how to configure it.

Pete: I also went thru it rather quickly (at work .. bleh). One issue I saw with the MRAC scheme was that there is no guarantee of converging to a particular solution, rather - the the error is guaranteed to converge to zero. Perhaps this is the sou…

Ryan, thanks a bunch! Soooo .... anyone wanna implement MRAC D or L1 and try it out? Source code is given! I've been thinking about something like this for a while, some way to parameterize an airframe's dynamic response, and an adaptive way to lear…

What processor do you plan on using in the future? I am looking for a processor which has maximum native PWM capability. I haven't been able to find any processors which had that, and all the other connectivity options I would like - so I've been co…

Could this be the epson gyro which Henri is referring to? Chris, can you take a look at the pcb and confirm? The applications for this gyro include image stabilization ... Epson XV-3500CB http://www.eea.epson.com/portal/pls/portal/docs/1/424992.PDF

@ Jimmy Ru "Could this handle low to moderate res video and data?" Hi Jimmi, I think it could, but not without some sort of encoding. Just thinking out loud: pixel resolution 6 bits = 64 gray levels video resolution of 170 x 120 pixels frame rate…

Video, telemetry plus control? Might be pushing it to the absolute limit but... keep us posted!

If you want to port the Ardupilot code or something similar, you should consider using something like these: Maple: http://blogs.leaflabs.com/ This uses the stm32 arm7 processor. 90 MIPS! Is supposed to be an 'arduino' based on the stm32. Xduino:…

I'm hoping I can adjust its frequency bands. It's capable of 902 - 928 MHz, but in NZ I'm only allowed to use 921-929 MHz at 1W, and only 3mW for the rest of that band.

Great find Faisal, looks interesting an very capable. Reasonably priced too. No need to buy the Dev kit, the manual explains how to configure it via serial commands, that's good enough for testing.

I inquired by the Swiss distributor whether this 900MHz module is allowed in EuropeSwitzerland. Probably it's the same as with the Xbee Pro 900: not for Europe :-(

I personally tested a MaxStream Xtend to 73 Miles right after they were released... The ground station used a 14dbi dish, and the airborne part was an x-tend with a rubber duck taped to the inside window of a cessna cardinal. The ground station was…

Faisal , few things in this modem looks too good to be true :) , the developer kit for eg is expensive , however I would be interested in picking oem module pair and make custom shield later. I picked this one at the same price , so far so good but…

Closed loop autopilot simulation with FlightGear - Part 2

Figured out how to close the loop!

Programs can interface with FlightGear through FlightGear's property tree. Very powerful.
http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Property_Tree

If you run FlightGear with the --httpd= option, it will run a webserver on http://localhost: where you can browse the property tree and refresh the current values. Alternatively, in FlightGear you can type "/", and the property tree viewer will pop up and y… Continue

Closed loop autopilot simulation with FlightGear - Part 1

I don't have the cash right now to buy a plane, ArduIMU, an auto pilot, and associated hardware. So, while I'm saving for the hardware, I want to play with the various algorithms out there in a simulation environment - to gain a deeper understanding and feel for it. I want to be able to code in C, so I can use the code directly in the hardware autopilot when I reach that point.

I want to use a flight dynamics model to generate sensor inputs to the autopilot (3 axis gyro, 3 axis accelerometer, G… Continue
