Morning everyone!
So i decided to try the whole Dji thing. It took all of about 20mins to swop the APM2 with the Naza.
The setup is as simple as it gets. That took no more than 10 mins.
After installing the hardware and software I took it outside and attempted the first flight.
All I have to say is wow! A truly awesome…

Dont forget to watch the last video ;)

John Campen said… Thanks for your help on the fail safe setting Gareth. I see that this was updated last week on the wiki document page for fail safe by Jason, but he has entered the same value for two functions for TH_FS_ACTION as value 1 which i think is an error. The two functions are either to reinstate the origination mission once signal is restored or to RTL even if connection is restored. I have got mine now set at 1 for both THFS and THFSA but Im yet to know what it will active if ti kicks in. Do you what are the correct values for THS ACTION?

Iv pm'd Jason to ask about the typo.
Testing is fairly easy. Arm the copter without props (needs to have GPS lock)
Run up the motors in STAB mode and turn the transmitter off. If the motors die, the failsafe didnt work.
You can also see if it works in APM planner if you connected via xbee. The mode will change from STAB to RTL if you turn off the transmitter.

Wiki has been updated :)
