Blimp with autopilot and fly-by-wire

I'm a graduate student that is developing a small blimp platform to provide aerial video to Soldiers on the ground.  Is the APM 2.x compatible with blimp movement so you can use mission planner for the control?  Also, our toughts were to use a blimpduino type propulsion setup but with dual mounted motors for 2 rotors (blades, props?) on each side.  Will this help add stability?  Thanks for any thoughts, I'm brand new to this.  I originally pitched a quad idea that got pick up, but now they want…See More
