Hi peeps, Just though It'd best if I mention something I'm doing, perhaps somebody has already achieved this. Practically all Anrdoid phones have a 3DOF accelerometer and a 3DOF magnetometer, the…Continue

scratchbuilt 2m span airframe for 200g+ payload

Posted on January 2, 2011 at 10:00am 6 Comments

Here's a brief wee build log of a plane i promised myself I would make. I'll make the simple plans available for anyone and everyone.

Any suggestions are very welcome !

It's mission is to carry a nikon L4 to take some aerial photos, with an efficient wing optimised for a cruise at about 35 km/h.  It must be stable and fairly easy to fly, have a pusher prop configuration and be easily constructed…

Taking requests for an airframe design !

Posted on December 8, 2010 at 9:30am 29 Comments

Over christmas I'm going to make an airframe just as an exercise, and since I don't actually need a new airplane I'm taking requests for payloads and missions. I'd rather make a plane thats useful to someone than one thats useless to everyone, catch my… Continue

I know its hardly UAV related, but still .. .

If you don't cry of the sheer beauty and excitment of fpv'ing around new york, you'll at least cry about breaking the laws and bla bla regulations FAA whatever.…

Hi Hamish,
the system we use in Denmark is developed by the German company GRAW. They use 401 Mhz digital FM. The data is easy to get from a cheap 100$ scanner and send to your soundcard on your PC. You can find more informatione here : http://www.coaa.co.uk/sondemonitor.htm
Best regards
Henrik

Hi!

After a lot of googling, I've finally found out (the only) way to interface Joysticks to a custom application running on Windows 7 -- Visual Studio and DirectX DirectInput. I'm downloading the DirectX SDK and I'll try it out!

Peace!
