I have not used Stefano Duranti's CAD (Called DEV CAD), but his Profili2 is excellent tool for wing design and in producing templates for hot wire cutting and also for traditional ribs. I would put Profili2 to almost same category in importance as Martin Simons's "Model Aircraft Aerodynamics" is in books scene.

I have also been wondering, do you know anyone that has used X-Plane to design and test flight charterisitics of an aircraft and if it prodused realistic or usable results?
