Hi All,I have the 9DOF board running the latest code and am getting the expected output from the serial port.  My question is this:  Is there a software (windows prefered) program to graphically…Continue

Hi All,I am working with Steve Eves who last year launched a 36' tall scale Saturn V rocket and in so doing, set a record for the largest model rocket ever launched and safely recovered. Having…Continue

"Test, test, test before you risk it all. The vibrations are your biggest problem. Send up whatever your avionics on a small rocket with higher g’s and a higher dynamic than the big scale model will achieve. Check out 2 our weekends ago:…"

"Ya, I was starting to doubt my sanity!  :-)  Should have done more research on Sparkfuns website. They have added a note on the shield board page now about this issue."

Kraig Krumm commented on Juan Enrique Martin Boix's blog post Arduimu as a standalone attitude sensor and telemetry.
"OK, found problem was the diode in the DIN line. Bypassed with 120K 1/8watt resistor and data was perfect. Sparkfun has some info on this but not on page where xbee shield is."

Kraig Krumm commented on Juan Enrique Martin Boix's blog post Arduimu as a standalone attitude sensor and telemetry.
"Ok, many weeks later, I split the power supply and made sure both xbees and the IMU and computer were set to 57600 baud. The two xbees are talking but the data is not usable. almost all showing as 00 in the hex window. Can't figure out where I…"

Kraig Krumm commented on Juan Enrique Martin Boix's blog post Arduimu as a standalone attitude sensor and telemetry.
"Yep, and I did that. It works fine. I think the problem may be that I was trying to run both the IMU and the xbee off of the regulator on the IMU board. I noticed it was running warm so I am in the process of splitting the power source. Perhaps the…"

Kraig Krumm commented on Juan Enrique Martin Boix's blog post Arduimu as a standalone attitude sensor and telemetry.
"Can anyone tell me how to connect the 9d0f IMU running the SF9DOF_AHRS software directly too an XBEE. I have tried using the xbee shield using the following connections: IMU XBEE DTR ---------> DTR TX0 ---------> DIN RX1 --------->…"

"Hi Ken, The diameter is roughly 29" for both stages with the CSM being slightly smaller (don't have exact sizes here at work. Thrust to weight has yet to be exactly determined because the all up weight is still in flux. T to W should be…"

Ken McEwan replied to Kraig Krumm's discussion Rocket application
"What is the thrust to weight ratio of the 1/10th scale? Stage diameters? Sounds like a very cool project. My Tripoli Level III cert flight was considerably smaller. Only 10ft tall 7.5 inches diameter and 52lbs at lift off. The motor producted…"

Kraig Krumm replied to Kraig Krumm's discussion Rocket application
"Well we have the 9dof Sparkfun IMU running the SF9DOF_AHRS_1_1 program with a slight modification to send a signal to a Arduino board when X Y tilt exceeds 10 degrees. The arduino is programmed to wait for a staging signal, delay 3 seconds to allow…"

"Hi friends, I am working with graphics in VC++ (Visual studio2008). I want to make 9DOF work in windows platform. The main problem is to read the COM port efficiently. If anybody have the COM port reading code, please post it. If i complete doing…"
