I live alone, found this hobby to be an intensive enjoyable pastime.  It challenges me to learn things that I never thought I would ever know about let alone care to know about.  It's addictive.  The biggest problem is finding a place to actually test and fly the fruits of your labor.  With all the recent hype asssociated with the fpv, suav, going on in the media, the faa regulators are likely moving in to make what we do less open to access.
