Yes real aircraft are bigger and heavier but they are subject to standards and regulation to minimise the chances of some form of malfunction. With commercial UAV operation CASA are also looking into certification of operators and airframes…
I'm not wishing to start a debate here but lets be honest. Your aircraft poses a potential hazard to anything it flies over. Should you have catastrophic failure that plane will fall to the ground. Is that likely to happen? No. Could it? Yes…
I don't understand what your complaining about. As an amateur/hobbyisy you can practically fly anywhere provided the flying site fufills some basic requirements. Yes it would be good to be able to fly at MAAA sites but I would say the main…
My only suggestion would be make sure you use stackable headers for the shields this time like the regular arduino shields. With the first expansion board that was made the headers were not stackable and were offset for additional boards.
Jordi just to confirm, all the holes on the board are breadboard compatible ?
Just wanted to say that I am so glad that you guys are getting community input before reaching a final design. This is a great step forward.
Another interestiing point is that this appears to be an instance of commercial operation of a UAV within Australia. I was under the impression that this was essentially impossible with the current regulations.
A question for with regards to thermopile replacement, The magnetometer is required because there is no GPS ? But 3 of the 4 systems that this is looking already have one on board. Was this decision not to have gps info fed through the imu based on…
Keep in mind that one of the major outcomes of this experiment was replacing the standard antennas with geodetic grade ones. So even if the equations can be applied successfully to our application we will still need to find a suitable antenna.
Fefenin, I just tried it with 16 and it works also, cheers. Also had a deeper look in the repository and it looks as if the Ardupilot 1.0 code available to download is the most recent.
Hi Fefenin,
When you verified/compiled the ardupilot 1.0 code you did not get the following error ?
In function 'void loop()':
error: 'reset_PIDs' was not declared in this scope In function 'void…
I understand that Ardupilot1.0 is no longer supported but it seems a shame that most of the 1.0 code isn't available in the repository. The version available to download does not compile correctly.
Is the closing time right Chris ? doesn't give us a lot of time.
