I crashed the other day with the apm on board and so I have moved to a new plane, (the original plane was a cessna sykartec, the new one is a 40 size trainer converted to electric)The new plane when switched to stabilize mode pitches up to full vertical and does not stay any where near level, we have checked different levels when first starting the apm unit but get the same action each time.My question is, do you have to calibrate the apm unit and transmitter settings each time I start a days…See More

OK, to explain, i finally got the autopilot sorted and installed in a test plane and all went according to plan, until the wing support failed on my manual flying back to land. what takes away the pain is that it wasn't in my full size plane, that I maidened last weekend successfully with 2 x 8…

Slow and steady progress, wings cut and mounted

Posted on November 30, 2011 at 3:00am 10 Comments

This was a disaster as i tried to get too fancy and mylar the top which resulted in a very heavy section, I have since decided to mount the wing either side of the fuse and reduce the wing span by 350mm.

So i have now mounted the wings either side of the fuse snd will proceed with the design from… Continue
