Atmega 1280 upgrade to 2560

Hi Chris, I have a 3 Ardupilot Mega setups, If I want to upgrade the 1280 processor's to 2560's, can I go ahead and replace the device's. I see that they are pin compatable from the data sheet.I used to manufacture and repair smd printed circuit boards and still have all of my equipment, so changing devices is no problem.RegardsRobSee More
