Garage PID tuning

Posted on June 25, 2011 at 2:30am 4 Comments

Awww yes finally time to do some PID tuning.  After my last field test it was clear I needed to replace my motors with better quality ones and do some more PID tuning.  After making a few mods to the airframe for added support and installing the new Jdrones Purple 2830 /12, 850kv motors with 10x4.7 props it was time to start testing again.  In the first part of…

Hi Russell,

I live up the road in Melissa. I have crashed 4 EZ*s and have four more hanging in the garage. I also have a couple of Twinstar IIs and a Maja. Maybe we can get together some time?

Hey Russell

I just saw your Quad frame it looks really good....like how you have layers on it probably a good idea....I am forming polystyrene around my AP and IMU V2 for extra safety. My Quad might take a little extra work on the code and electronics side since Im using the regular AP not the APM......4CH in 4CH out but since AP is really for the Quad system it's going to be a little work. I am adding a 3 axis magnetometer and a barometric pressure sensor via I2C. Hopefully my female-female servo connectors will come in the mail :)
