"As i understand it, (please correct if wrong) i believe there possibly might be an APM GCS in the works...so not too bothered at the mo.. but as you say.....it would be nice to get working.. I do have the source code so could sort it..if…"

"Mike, I agree. I use these course / bearing needles and AH in the field to help visually tune in my gains but can only use them on eastern heading. If could be fixed great but eather way I can Live with it. Scott"

"Scott, I have the same thing, i wouldnt worry too much about it, its a mathmatical oversight in the way that LV reads and displays the data. Of it turns out to be a real problem for you, i will correct it (as im sure that Auto is faily busy on…"

GCS Beta2

Aurdupilot 2.6.2No SheildIMU v2 code1.7 with baro and magnetometerGCS Beta 2#define GCS_PROTOCOL 0My heading reference (course / yaw) that is being down loaded as 0 to 180 deg on the eastern heading and on the western heading it is -1 to -179. This negative course is screwing up the Ground control station that Iam running . When I have just the IMU baro mag GPS combination plugged into the IMU test software the heading reference is good on both east and west headings. I think the Ground control…See More

"These guys have put some much time not to mention their own money into this and people keep complaining re the price?? Thanks for all of your efforts and constant support 24 7 I personal think the charges are ridiculously low considering all things."

"If i may offer an opinion on this... Curt (IMHO) has hit the nail on the head and going back to basics with the failsafe system, wouldnt do anything but good. As an intro to 2.6, i am finding the failsafe system a really big grey area, and i deal…"

"Curt, Point taken. I think we tried too hard to answer the requests of people for a failsafe system that would work on all systems, and as a result overrode the bulletproof hardware manual failsafe that had been working so well to date. I think…"

"I'm tempted to suggest that the ardupilot firmware developers back up and think about the goals and implementation of their fail-safe system a bit more. Don't take this as being critical. I understand there are many ways to approach a…"

"Scott, There are really two failsafe systems in Ardupilot. If you have a futaba 7C like I do, you can only use the throttle based failsafe. If you have a fancier radio, you can set your control switch to output Return To Launch when failsafe…"

"Richard, Good point and thanks for reminding folks. If you're letting ArduPilot control the throttle, you MUST cut the D13 pin as instructed in the manual. It's also a good idea to use a servo amp on that channel, since as Richard points…"

"Scott, I had a similar problem with low reported values on the CH3 input line. I am using a Spektrum AR6000 receiver. Mine turned out to be the fact that the AR6000 signal line was nearer 3v than 5v. As CH3 input is on the same pin as 2 LEDs these…"

"Since 660ms is lower then normal PPM signal should be, my first tough was EMP from the gasser. Are internal pull-up resistors enabled on all io pins (or at least for unused ones)? I have not looked over the 2.6 code yet, so I am asking."
