IR Sensors are working, but the servos don't show reaction

My problem:I'm trying to get Ardupilot 2.1 to work, but I don't get the servos reacting to the IR Sensors. I don't have a Z sensor that's why I use 2.1. I entered 0 at this line: #define SENSOR_Z…Continue

Hello, I have a problem that my Ardu Pilot board doesn't do anything when I turn the toggle switch. Neither the Mux LED nor the Mode LED ever went on. With the oscilloscope I was able to mesure that…Continue

Simon, You can use the FMA XY sensor as a Z sensor. Do a search on this forum and I think that you can find a discussion on how to use the XY sensor to replace the Z sensor. Or you could buy the thermo pile package from the DIY Drones Store. Buying…

Ok it works with version 2.4. The LED behavior is correct now. But is there a way to run this version without Z sensor? Greets Simon

Hey Chris thanks for your fast answer. The GPS is EM406 the Sensor is the FMA Co-Pilot with the cable facing to the back. Plane is an easy star. I use failsafe V1.5, because V1.6 didn't work (See Forum…

"The calibration process never worked"? Could you explain more? I'll need to know everything about your setup, GPS, sensor orientation, etc... BTW, we don't support 2.1 anymore, so long term you'll want to upgrade.

IR Sensors are working, but the servos don't show reaction

My problem:I'm trying to get Ardupilot 2.1 to work, but I don't get the servos reacting to the IR Sensors. I don't have a Z sensor that's why I use 2.1. I entered 0 at this line: #define SENSOR_Z 0.When I run the Infared board test program the XY sensors are working properly. But here comes the crazy part:I tried the same thing yesterday and after a while (about 1 minute) the servos started moving correctly to the sensors. But aren't they supposed to work and react right away?Today I can't get…See More

Got 2.01 downloaded on my Ardupilot, but the both servos move in the wrong direction. How can I reverse it in this version ? Greets Simon

2.3 without a Z Sensor

Hi there,Is there a way to run Ardu Pilot 2.3 without having a Z - Sensor, but a Atmega328 Board with shield? If not which version would you suggest ? I tried 2.1 but had problems with getting my sensors calibrated. Do I need to tell the program that I'm not having a Z-Sensor, if yes what do I need to change?Greets SimonSee More

Ok i found the problem. In my case the PB3 pin of the Attiny was not connected to the board. You can check if this is the problem in your case too by checking the connection between PB3 (Its the second pin on the left of the attiny) and the right…

Hello I've got the same problem. First of all my Attiny didn't work at all, so i wasn't able to switch anything. Now I put Failsave v1.5 on my Attiny and now it switches right away in the RTL mode when reaching about 1.4ms pulse. So…

I'm using Graupner MC24 and as receiver Graupner SMC-19. But I got it to work now with failsave V15 thanks Michel for the hint. The only problem left is that I only can switch from Autopilot off to RTL mode. In other words the Waypoint mode…

yes the board is powered on, the Power LED is on, and I can move the servos with my remote control. Also when I have the Bind Plug in and get a GPS lock the servos start to move until I pull the bind plug out. I just get absolutly no reaction when…

Is the board powered on? Are your servo plugs in the right way? Maybe you have a borked board....that's a Sparkfun issue.

Board does not go into RTL or Waypoint mode

Hello, I have a problem that my Ardu Pilot board doesn't do anything when I turn the toggle switch. Neither the Mux LED nor the Mode LED ever went on. With the oscilloscope I was able to mesure that a signal is coming in the ATtiny but no matter how wide the pulses are nothing comes out at PB1 and PB3. I reprogrammed the Attiny, but that didn't help. But since I can program the ATtiny it should work.Does anyone have an idea? Thanks greets simonSee More
