Hey I recently noticed you mentioned you had used the xsens mti-g and had troubles with the inbuilt gps, I was wondering what these troubles were? I am in a similar situation, where our unit will be completely unable to get fixes in certain locations that other gps units get a fix in 5 seconds at.

Thanks for replying so quick! :) You don't happen to have any photos of the internals of the device do you? Ours has paint/glue on one of the screws and my supervisor absolutely will not let me open it since it cost us $8,000 Australian dollars and he needs the warranty.

Mm nope I dont (esp. since I'm not at the lab anymore). Anyway, what I'm talking about clearly involve serious hacking. I think recent models include gen 5 ublox. Maybe they even have gen 6 models by now. I may be possible to have them exchange your unit...
