Hi Tom,
Thanks for responding. I too am going to build one, and was looking at doing exactly the same (Trex 600 Booms etc) so good to know I am on the right path.
I think i will start buy getting the parts for the frame and then decide if I will…
funk_e,
You probably know as much as I do about building an Aeroquad platform!

Unfortunately I only know as much as I have read on the Aeroquad Support Forum and the RCGroups Support Forum. The Aeroquad chassis, motors, ESC, props, and control system are pretty simple and straighforward. The Discussion/Support Forums can answer alot of questions that arise when reading the build instructions on the Aeroquad website.
I plan to build Mikro's first chassis using the PVC four way pipe coupler, T-Rex 600 tail booms and land skids, Hobby King KDA20-22L motors, TR_P18A ESCs, Sparkfun Arduino 128 board and prototype shield, 5DOF IMU, the IDG500 GYro, and a Spektrum DX7i/AR6100 RC setup. That should get me going for now along with Mikro's latest flight software.

I think i will start buy getting the parts for the frame and then decide if I will do an Aeroquad or use an ArduIMU or similar for control.
