u need to first know the basic as declared why to use combination of accelerometer and gyroscope,u can use xyz sensor in place of acelerometer.we use the combination of two to get more acurate readings.and programming will be simpy done by first converting the analog output to digital so that it can ce used by microcontroller and then converting them back into analog votages value.basically xyz sensor give its out put depenting upon the intensity of light measured by it.for a balance flight intensity of light on +x axis amd - x axis must be same(ust a basic concept).i think now it become more clearer to u
