What's the approximate release date for the mega shield? I'd like to start building a uav in the next couple weeks and work on that for the next 3 months, until my school resumes. Should I wait for…Continue

"Hi Adam, I am using ailerons not rudder. Rudder is not really needed in this plane. If I ever build another one I will probably not have an active rudder. It just adds weight! The dihedral in the wings keeps the plane very stable in turns, and it…"

"I should add, the plane is also very quick and easy to build, although it comes with no instructions, none are really needed. You will also want to reinforce the wings with carbon. There is a thread on rcgroups about this."

"Hi Mark, I'm currently flying the skywalker with ardupilot. The skywalker is probably the easiest plane I have ever flown. Its a real floater. Perfect for a beginner. And so far it is proving to work very well with ardupilot. That motor…"

"The US has export regulations. I'm not a lawyer but I think it just makes buying/selling ardupilot much easier if one party isn't selling everything."

"Mauro, I'm not sure about the GPS but you can't buy the Ardupilot mega from the DIYDrones store. You have to buy it from sparkfun. They do this to get around the restrictions on selling autopilots."

"Update: The shipping to my US address (in Illinois) is approximately 50USD. The wings cost 30USD each. I can buy up to 4 without having to pay additional shipping fee. If I buy 4, its about $50 each. If anyone in or near Illinois is interested, let…"

"I emailed the company and finally got a response. From what I understand, you can buy a single one for $30 but the shipping method used would cost the same for upto 4 wings. Due to this, you save the most per wing if you order 4. I'll let you…"
