  • @Lew - I would be curious to see how my tx/rx units stack up (which should be at your door sometime this week). The rx atleast looks to be identical...
  • Does anyone recommend the combo "2. 900 MHz 200mW Tx/Rx & 1/3-inch CCD Camera" for a UGV? I use 2.4 GHz Xbee's and I don't need more than 1 Km range... In fact I probably only need 500 m.
  • Admin
Roberto , the TX/RX supports both format and so the camera is of your choice( which would make the difference). I choose PAL usually.
Lew is right IMHO , 0.01Lux is possible for low light op black and night cameras or mode only. Some cameras have auto mode selection ( day and night) where it switches to B/W when in low light conditions and then the sensitivity is different.
1.3Ghz TX/Rx are available from RV( not sure) or other outlets( Canadian) but not from HK( to my knowledge) and nothing stops HK from offering it.
  • HK changed the description. I also changed this blog post just now accordingly, so it's up to date again.
  • Hi,
HK does not have 1.2GHz systems. Those are all 900MHz.

  • The specs were taken from the Hobbyking website. Maybe they changed the description later?
  • @CrashingDutchman - I read the product descriptions posted to this thread, where it said "Camera spec." I guess it wasn't important enough to mention in the posted specs that it was a color camera. Go figure.
  • Web site indicates that "NTSC: 510(H)*492(V), PAL: 500(H)*582(V)".
Does it mean that the camera and TX/RX support both NTSC and PAL?
So you know how to select PAL?
  • Did you read the product descriptions? All mention a Sony COLOR CCD
  • So I take it these are all black and white cameras (as opposed to color), given their .01Lux rating and pricing.
