Ardupilot 2.0.1 Released
Main changes:
-Solved compatibility issue with Arduino IDE 14 and 15, (thanks very much Arduino Mega).
-Z Sensor support (extremely recommended, otherwise you will fly strange).
-An small Ground Station based in Labview to play with ;-)...
And can be donwloaded from here.
The problem with the Ground Station is that i can't compile it, but you can run it if you have Labview installed. Later i will release the EXE.
It includes a better virtual horizon and displays Speed, Altitude, Climb rate, Heading, Bearing and show the aircraft position in real time using Google Earth.
What you need:
-Any radio modem (XBEE) running at 57600bps.
-Labview 8.6 installed.
-Run the file "groundtest.vi".
-Select the port number, then click open and enjoy!
(You can try it with the FTDI cable if you don't have radio modem).
Note: This ground station is same I'm using right now to debug the new ArduPilot firmware 2.1.

Be ready for the next release of ArduPilot firmware, the version 2.1, that will include:
-Diagonal X Sensors.
-Throttle Control
-AirSpeed Sensor Support

Please note that this is not 2.1, which is the update we'll release in a few weeks and has some additional changes, including the placement of the XY sensor in the diagonal position. In this release (2.0.1) the XY sensor remains in the straight-ahead position of 2.0.

it seems that the Diagonal X Sensors are better than the XY sensor! can anyone please explane why and how it is better?

Ahmed, sensor is always the XY sensor, it's only turned for 45 degree so the rudder or some other things can't disturb the view of the sensor anymore

Hey Jordi, Ive made the mods and connected my Z sensor but when I power up the EZ the thermopiles wont respond to my hand or anything... do we still need to use the jumper?
