What does this have to do with the Air Force? Needs some green tech themes.

@Jack - not sure I understand the question...but this has nothing to do with the Air Force. Needs some green tech themes?

Anyway, this program has been ongoing for some time, but has been a bit under the radar (no pun intended.) This is just a new website they have put together to share the program with the general public. If you look at the following link:

http://www.teex.org/teex.cfm?pageid=USARprog&area=usar&temp...

You will find that the Texas Engineering Extension Service has partnered with the Texas A&M University System (Gig 'em Ags! - Class of '93) and built an amazing facility for training SAR personnel. If there is a new technology that could help save lives, these people will be on the cutting edge trying to use, improve, and develop it.

This lot wear green Jack US Army predicts shift to nearly all unmanned aircraft by 2035 Would it not be a good plan to develop some sort of common language or protocol so that search and rescue robots could easily talk to each other?

Otherwise I see lots of agencies turning up with different tools all needing different GCS and operators.

I would have thought it would be a plan to have ground and air vehicles of whatever make and model sending unified data back to a central point.

Good luck to them anyway.
