TX Mode 1 and 2 quick tutorial

This TX is FlySky - TH9X same as Turnigy 9X 9Ch and many more brands ( they use almost same body )

So if you like to change from one mode to another,

you need to move two parts from one stick to another

1. Metal plate thats holds Throttle stick in position (not going back to middle)

2. Plastic arm and spring ( to get the stick go back to the middle)

Here some closeups on the parts, its easy just open the back panel, move the sticks and you'll what moves what :)

I'll try to do a video some day ...

  • Thank you... so I think I can buy mode 1 and then modify the springs inside to change mode to 2 (or just learn to fly with mode 1 as it is the standard in Europe)
  • Does anyone fly both mode 1 and mode 2?

I fly mode 1 but more and more people are using mode 2 these days in Australia. I'm planning on starting to learn mode 2 so I can fly at a passable level so I can interchange.
  • the physical changes are only needed for spring tension on the choice of sticks.
Although, one thing that got me soon after opening the turnigy 9x and running thru the menus, was the usage of the word mode:
they use the word mode, but mean model
modes numbered 5, 6, and 7 gave it away for me... it should say model number instead.

@Simone: Updating SW is not needed. The mode can be changed to any of the 4 from the menu.
  • Thank you.
And then I guess some change in the sw is needed as well, right?
