U.S. Diverts Spy Drone from Afghanistan to Haiti

Obviously there is a lot of focus on trying to help out following the Haiti earthquake.

Drones are showing their usefulness:

Also OpenStreetMap are doing a lot of map tracing from donated aerial photography and making these maps for aid workers on the ground. You too can help by tracing/marking features....

You can see some Global Hawk imagery of Haiti here. I have no idea why it's black and white and so crappy. Click on the little circles in the box at the top right to turn the various layers on or off.

Chris, I guess that these are not photographic but SAR (synthetic aperture radar) images. That's why they are in black and white.
