    I really don't understand why they use GP2Dxx IR range finder. The beam of these sensors are very narrow, and cannot detect all obstacles.

    I did some tests with a LAMA3 coaxial helicopter some months ago. Great for indoor navigation, but terrible outside. The main problem being that the two rotors generate a lot of drag, making it very sensitive to wind.
  • I thing this is really expensive quad for what is worth! many people do almost the same at home for really cheaper!

    The Parrot ardrone is really more cool also, price and technologically!
