Hi Jason,

This is my own design. Here are the brief specs:
These are designed as a modular system. Each board can be used individually or as a set.
Includes:

Processor board with dual core DSP running at 600MHz, 64MB SDRAM, 8MB Flash, 2 UARTS, 8-16bit ADC, 1-I2C.

Graphics Display Controller with 64MB SDRAM, NTSC/PAL, 3-CVBS, S-Video, RGB666, ITU656 In, NTSC/PAL, 2-CVBS, S-Video, RGB888 Out. Color graphics over live video standard CVBS at 720 X 480, RGB up to 1280 X 768

This one is actually a prototype board set that was design to help me decide just what all I might want on a Heads-Up-Display (HUD) or OSD if you prefer. This model has only been produced as a prototype in 10 units for our own testing purposes on helicopters, airplanes and a MikroKopter so far.

I am in the process of redesigning the boards to be produced for resale with a target date over the next month or so. Hopefully if all goes as planned we will have units to sale soon. I will post progress as it occurs.

Thank you for your comments and interest.

Please sign me up, I am testing EagleTree Pro,and Renzibi with IMU/IR ArduPilot over diversity 910 mhz tx using a well tuned HDX-500, Swift 550 and several fixed wing systems. Your board seams to have lots of untapped potential with multiple DSPs all stacked!

BTW what is the radar screen on the bottom left for? are the text colors and symbols customizable ?
Rick Steele Comment by Rick Steele on March 9, 2010 at 11:52am
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the comments and interest. You are correct, we have enough power to do pretty much anything at the moment. Some new features coming on the new board. 3D graphics engine and 2 video streams with separate overlays to name a couple...

Hi Morli,
The radar sweep is just for GPS satellite positions across the horizon at the moment. They update in real time as the SATs move. I envisioned other aircraft position display when flying at a club field using broadcast GPS position telemetry from other planes or heli's or whatever at some point, maybe...

Regards
Rick

"broadcast GPS position telemetry from other planes or heli's or whatever at some point,"
Now that would be very cool idea for field freq controller to watch( now that he has no work ;) ) , looked like wifi radar screen. good work

Sweet! ADS-B out for the RC field! Rick, you're thinking is even ahead of the airline set! Nice work.

Morli,

I forgot to mention the colors are most all customizable as well as the position of some of the instruments and the outlines can be turned off if desired. We are talking about whether to set the transparency of all the on screen graphics so it can be adjusted from completely transparent to completely opaque in step. The font’s are not currently customizable but they could be if there was enough demand.

Rick,
fonts are fine , just the color and transparency , the text above the bar graph in the bottom are almost invisible and all the text in white that goes above the horizon is invisible to me.I liked your IFR like screen in other video too. Radar is coool . thanks for the info , any ball park figure of how much it might cost in production run from your experience?
